What affects the installation price?
Panel capacity, battery capacity, inverter choice, roof access, scaffolding, cable routes and electrical work can all affect the quote. An existing system may also affect compatibility and the work needed. Send photographs and any available equipment details to help us understand the project.
Questions about solar and batteries
Can I add a battery to existing solar panels?
It may be possible, depending on the current inverter, electrical installation and proposed battery. Include the make and model of your existing equipment so compatibility can be assessed.
Do I need solar panels to discuss battery storage?
No. You can enquire about battery storage as a separate project. Suitability and operation should be assessed against your property and electricity tariff.
What size home battery do I need?
Your daily electricity pattern matters as well as annual consumption. We consider available solar generation, the off-peak charging window and the loads you want to supply. The aim is to match useful capacity to your household rather than assume one battery size suits everyone.
Can battery storage work alongside my EV charger?
Include the charger make, model and usual charging schedule. We consider large electrical loads and operating settings together. You can discuss EV charger installation as part of the same project.
Will a battery power my whole house during a power cut?
That depends on the agreed backup design and available output. Tell us which circuits or appliances matter most; supported loads, battery charge and consumption determine what can run and for how long. Our Powerwall and Gateway project shows an example of installed backup equipment.
